PIRAZIDOL (aka Lifril, Pirlindole) – is an antidepressant that combines thymoleptic effect with balanced action on the CNS. Provides activating effect in the patients who suffer from apathetic, anergic depressions and, at the same time, has sedative effect in agitated parients. It works by selectively and reversibly inhibiting MAO type A; blocking deamination of serotonin and noradrenaline, partially inhibiting the reuptake of Monoamines, potentiating the effects of dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-dofa) – norepinephrine precursor and 5-oxitriptofana – serotonin precursor. Pirazidol is effective in treating depressions of different genesis mainly accomponied with psychomotor retardation and asthenic disorders, anxiety and delirious state. Read more about Pirazidol.

- Alzheimer’s Disease (as part of complex therapy)

INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Active substance: pirlindol
Excipients: lactose, starch, calcium stearate.
The initial dose is 50-100mg 2 times per day, the dose is gradually increased by 50mg to 150-300mg/day. The maximum recommended dose is 400mg/day, divided into 2 parts. After the therapeutic effect has been achieved the treatment should be maintained during 2-4 weeks, after that the dose is gradually reduced.
